LOCATION
Tywyn lies on the West coast of Wales, in the county of Gwynedd, and within the Snowdonia national park.
In Tywyn Town Centre there is a lovely indoor, heated Swimming Pool and Leisure Centre with gymnasium, a Cinema and of course the obligatory local pub! All of which are within easy walking distance..
FAMILY
Tywyn offers a safe, sandy beach with a coveted blue flag to its credit! It also has a flat promenade, ideal for families.
There is also an 18 hole putting green, skate park, toddler playground all within walking distance.
We are an easy 5 min walk to both the Talyllyn Narrow Gauge railway and the national rail station.
There is also an ice cream factory shop !!
ACTIVITIES
Harbour Porpoises and Bottlenose Dolphins can be seen in the area, especially near to the mouth of the Dysynni river. For the adventurous amongst us there are numerous of-road paths to walk and cycle including the infamous Cadre Idris mountain, swimming, kite surfing, boating, Pony trekking and tennis courts.
There are 2 golf courses in the area with the premier one being the Aberdovey/Aberdyfi golf course, Which is a short 10 min drive away.
Fishing is also very popular in the area with beach casting, boat hire, Talyllyn lake trout fishing, and the mouth of the Dyfi for Bass and mullet. Bait is available locally.
There are also historical sites around, including the Castle y Bere
