A self-catering cottage set in the landscaped gardens of an 18th century, former rectory overlooking Lake Bala in the Snowdonia National Park. The stone cottage has been carefully restored to provide comfortable accommodation, while retaining its period character.
The cottage has a comfortable sitting area with traditional-style stove, TV with VCR, fitted kitchen with cooker, microwave, refrigerator, etc. There are two twin and one double bedrooms each with en-suite or private bathroom. There is a sunny patio with furniture and barbecue.
Situated in a peaceful location, just a short stroll from the lake and close to the market town of Bala, which provides a choice of pubs, restaurants and shops. The local hills provide un-crowded walking in three mountain ranges and there are outstanding water-sports facilities, with sailing on Bala Lake and the National Whitewater Centre, nearby. Also locally available are indoor-swimming, tennis, riding, fishing and ten-pin bowling. There is a challenging golf course with lake views.
Guided walking and canoeing are available (by arrangement) and also a library of walking guidebooks. Other outdoor activities can be arranged, including whitewater rafting, sailing, climbing, mountain biking, 4x4 driving, etc. Private parking, locked storage for bicycles and drying room are provided.
Within easy walking distance of the market town of Bala, with pubs, shops and restaurants. An ideal location for touring North Wales and Snowdonia.
